Engine & cooling
Belt service, leak repair and the complete cooling system.
Service description
We fix oil and coolant leaks, replace belts, the water pump, thermostat and radiator preventively, and carry out common engine repairs.
Why does it matter?
A running engine creates thousands of small explosions that generate extreme heat. The cooling system circulates a special fluid to absorb that heat and keep the metal from melting. Making sure your belts are solid and your cooling system does not leak is what separates an engine that lasts from one that dies on the side of the highway.

When to plan this service?
| Item | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Timing belt | Per the manufacturer’s schedule, replacement is often due around 100,000 km (or 5 to 7 years) to avoid catastrophic engine damage. |
| Coolant (antifreeze) | Usually replaced per the schedule, often recommended around 5 years or 80,000 km. |
| Leak follow-up | It is usually best to fix them quickly to avoid losing all the fluid and overheating. |

FAQ
How can I tell whether my engine has a timing belt or a timing chain?
It depends on the model. During your visit, we check your engine’s specifications and let you know.
What should I do if the engine overheats?
Pull over safely onto the shoulder as soon as possible and turn off the ignition. Never open the radiator cap while it is hot. Call us.
Is a small oil leak serious?
Not always, but it gets worse over time and the leaking oil can damage your rubber belts. It is best to have it assessed.
